Mint green is a color we haven't seen in a very long time until recently when it was reintroduced back into fashion and home decor.

At first glance, you may think of 1986 and remember your Swatch Watch, a pair of stirrup pants, or hair scrunchy you had that was mint green.

And who knows, you probably decorated your bedroom with the colors peach and mint green.......oh, wait, that was just me. sorry! LOL :)

Yes, mint green disappeared after the 80's and we haven't seen much of it until recently, and now I can't get enough of it.

So when Ace Hardware hosted one of its Free Paint Saturdays a week or so ago I took advantage of it and picked myself up a free quart of Clark & Kensington paint in a color byBenjamin Moore called

I picked out the color and it turned out to be a bit more on the aqua side than I had planned, but I really liked it so I  decided to tackle a small craft project that had been on my list for quite some time now.......

this little chalk board.

I found the frame at a thrift store a long time ago and sprayed the middle with
the same chalk board paint I used on my

then after a few days later taped it off and painted the outside frame in my new
mint green paint color.

You may remember the Dry Erase Memo Board I showed you how to make earlier this Spring, well this is very similar, except that I used a wooden frame this time.

I love how it turned out and thought it was a nice addition in the kitchen on the hutch.

Now I can't wait to use this color on some furniture! :)

and the best part about it..........is that it was free!
