Random Things Friday

 

TGIF everyone!

 

This weekend the weather in KC is 'SUPPOSED' to be a little warmer so I am hell bent to get all of my painting done, along with my final clean out of the garage before winter sets in, and start decorating for Christmas.

 

But in the mean time, I wanted to share some random things with you like this desk organizer I found at TJMaxx.

 

It was the perfect size to use as a mini make up organizer. It holds just the basic everyday pieces that I most commonly use.

 

The flat slots where letters and mail would go hold my eye shadows, and the larger slot on the right is the perfect size for a mascara, a few eye liners, and some lip glosses.

 

I also did a little organizing and repurposed an ironstone creamer into a makeup brush holder.

 

I love repurposing things so they can be used all over my home!

 

And do you notice anything special? ............keep in mind we are in my bathroom....................

I will keep you guessing on that one but there will be a reveal of some sort (sshhhh-gotta keep it a secret) coming up soon.

 

 

 

Then I decided to take advantage of a little "ME" shopping before the holiday shopping is in full force.

 

So I ran by TJMaxx again and picked up a pillow

(which will make its debut later when I show you my Christmas décor), along with this aqua/mint colored purse that I fell in love with, and a spool of cream colored lace.

I told the check out clerk I wanted to take one more picture before they bagged it up so here she is.

 

Front and center.

 

Is she aqua? Or mint? You decide.

 

 

 

And Miss Layla has been hibernating under my desk since the temperatures dropped.

 

 

I couldn't resist and had to take her picture to show you!!!

 

 

 

And last but certainly no least, if you follow me on Facebook

you know that I recently attended a Christmas event

at a local nursery.

 

While I was there I picked up this dreamy smelling candle in Blackberry Vanilla.

 

Its such warm and clean smell. I love it!

Have you ever heard of Trapp candles and fragrances?

 

They are a Kansas City based company that was created by a designer, and they make the best smelling candles and home fragrances like reed diffusers and room sprays.

 

I mean, come on. An interior/floral designer created these candles....so they have to be good, right?! :)
