Two Homes and Multiple Projects but I Finally Have New Bedding!

SSsshhheeeewwww! Can you see me running? In circles???!!!!!  LOL

Well thats what I have been doing since January 1st!

Between my brother-in-law's wedding, snow storms, birthday(S), our anniversary, Valentines Day, and lets not forget our full time jobs, Mr. Chaos and I have spent whatever free time we have left working on our indoor projects. We are now on home stretch which is great considering outdoor projects will start up in a matter of weeks! Yikes!

So far we have painted the master bedroom and touched up paint in the rest of the house. (That was primarily Mr.Chao's project but I helped).

Our master bedroom got a new color pallet that you can read about HERE, and I have FINALLY found the bedding that I like for the room.

This is a MAJOR victory considering before, with the other color on the walls, I could not (for the life of me) find bedding that I liked!

We started with golden, yellowish bedding and that didn't work.

Then we tried beige and that was boring and predictable. Then we tried adding a splash of red, then chocolate brown and that didn't work, so I gave up and we went in a completely new direction! ...And I LOVE it.

The gray tones work for both of us and are so easy to coordinate with!

Here is a sneak peek of the bedding and I can't wait to share the entire room reveal with you, but for now here's a peek at the pillows and some of the bedding.

I fell in love with these shabby chic ruffled pillows in the Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic line at Target. The crisp white cotton pairs nicely against the soft gray tones in the room, and the ruffles???? Need I say more??? They are tres cute and make my little heart go Pitter patter!

I am seriously in {LOVE} with all the shades of gray in this bedding. It really pulls the room together! This pillow has a gray damask pattern on it which is just enough of a floral pattern but not too much for the man in the house.

Then of course there is my Bead Board project at the other house that I have feverishly worked on in what spare time I have had. It is coming along great and is about 75% complete.
Here is a sneak peek...see the bead board in the corner by the window????

Step inside and get a closer view........

This room got a FULL paint job including caulking, spackeling, sanding, and trim paint, and a NEW paint color for the main walls, and I can't wait to show you the final reveal!!!  But for now you just get a teaser! LOL
Then there are the small projects like creating accessories for both rooms and Spring decor for the rest of the house. I'm trying to keep up with the seasonal changes in our regular living areas AND update the bedroom and the other house as well, so needless to say indoor projects are definitely underway on my side of the fence.
How about on your side? Are you trying to tackle some indoor projects before we have to start working on the yard? Are you getting ready for Spring and Easter???
I'm just happy to have my mudroom almost finished and the bedding picked out for our bedroom! Those are two major tasks that I can now mark off my list.
Now, for that cat nap that I have been longing for! .......
Have a wonderful day!
Jennifer
