When I created this post I wasn't sure if I wanted to call this a salvaged junk make over, or a DIY to show others how they can make this flower pot, and I finally decided on making it a DIY.
Lucky for you this is the simplest DIY you will ever do!
First you start with a salvaged thrift store/garage sale metal container like the yellow one I found below.
I found these three planters at various thrift stores in February and March and I set them aside waiting for Spring.
..and the minute I discovered this yellow metal box I knew I wanted it to display on my front porch!
I love how it was in good shape.
It was sturdy and had no rust but it did have some slight signs of use like the scrapes around the top edge.

I also like the galvanized metal rivets and circular handles too.
So I simply used a vinyl house number decal I purchased from Sassy Steals,
peeled it like a sticker and simply stuck it on the front of the planter.
Then I added the potting soil and some hot pink Vinica.
All of the colors look perfect together for the cottage look that I was aiming for.
And here it is welcoming guests as they approach the front porch.
I love how this turned out and the best part about this DIY is that you can recreate this look with virtually ANY planter.
See how easy that was?!
Now.....for the giveaway!
I am giving away a six pack of the Ball Turquoise Vintage Style Mason Jars.
These vintage style jars are a gorgeous shade of turquoise and they have silver lids.
Here I have them displayed with some babies breath and hot pink carnations.
They are so pretty and can be used for so many craft and décor projects! You can even use them as drinking glasses. Anything goes with these and they will ad a gorgeous pop of color wherever they are displayed!
