Happy New Year everyone! Today I am looking back at 2013 and it wears me out just thinking about it!
I tackled so many home projects in 2013 and learned more than I ever imagined I would about DIY, but I also had a lot of personal growth as well with my career and with Mr.Chaos as we got engaged last Spring.
So beyond what you see here on the blog, behind the scenes I have been working on wedding plans as well.
There were a lot of DIY projects tackled last year, especially on the Cape Cod, that I will recap with you in a few, and of course some changes made to our home as well that have made a big difference in the way I decorate.
For starters, in January of 2013 you may remember we made over our master bedroom by changing out the color from Green to Gray. It was the BEST decision we could have made and now we enjoy this room so much more than before!
All year long I have enjoyed redoing the bedding and décor and have shared several posts with you and have a few more that are the works. This room has changed a lot since I moved in!
(bye-bye bachelor pad! LOL)
Then all the work last Spring & Summer on the Cape Cod like our mudroom makeover,
And this dollar store urn makeover.
(one of my all time favorites before & after)
And at our house we built our first privacy fence which ended up being easier to do than I originally thought. I took a lot of pictures and put together a step by step tutorial for you.
This this fall I was lucky to find an old crate on the side of the road and I was able to give it a new life with some wood stain, which you can read about HERE.
And of course just in time for the holidays I introduced you to a couple different no-sew pillows...
Needless to say 2013 was a very busy year for me but it was a good one.
In 2014 I look forward to being married, enjoying our honeymoon, and spending the holidays next year together as one family, along with all the DIY projects I have on my to-do list, so I am glad you are here and I hope you stick around and learn a thing or two this year as I continue my DIY and sprucing up our nest!
Happy New Year!
Jennifer
