Hello everyone! Just when we thought Spring was on its way the weather in Missouri took a turn, and for the worse, dipping back down below freezing. Sigh.....
But lets not let a little freezing rain and cold weather get in our way of celebrating all of our amazing finds.
For those of you who do not know my personal wardrobe style I will fill you in on a little secret.....I love handbags. Did I say I 'love' handbags?
Well I really {LOVE} them, and for many reasons but but mainly because they really make or break an outfit.
Well I really {LOVE} them, and for many reasons but but mainly because they really make or break an outfit.
Now, don't get me wrong, I do NOT change out my purse to coordinate with my daily outfit, but I DO change out my purse when I have a formal or special event to attend, or as the seasons change.
Every girl needs a good "everyday" handbag, so after the first of the year my hunt was on for a new one.
Something that could look great in January and February and transition me into the Spring.
I had previously carried the beige handbag found HERE , which is also a deal in and of itself, but I needed something that was a bit bolder.
Something with more color or more texture......I would know when I found it, so the quest for the right handbag was on!
Well, my quest ended as quickly as it began when I discovered this AMAZING bag in the CLEARANCE section at Kohls.
She looks high end with her soft leather, nice shape, and snake skin look, BUT don't let her fool you! The thrifty chick inside me would NOT pay a lot for a purse.....after all, I was on a hunt for a bargain, and that is what I intended to get.
So when I picked it up and put it over my shoulder, it fit perfectly. I loved the look, the quality, and it was a Dana Buchman, so it MUST be over here on this pile of clearanced merchandise by mistake, right?
.....WRONG!
Check out that price tag!!!
Are you kidding me? a $100 purse, NEW and in PERFECT shape for $9 bucks???? 90% off??!!!
I'll take it!!!!!!
It was the ONLY handbag of this type in the clearance section by the socks and belts. The only one, just sitting there waiting to go home with someone......and I just so happen to like the purse too! How often does THAT happen???!!!
So there is my $100 purse for $9 bucks!
In this case I would have to say it was all about being at the right place at the right time, but the takeaway for YOU is that I want you to promise me that you will ALWAYS check the clearance section FIRST before wasting your money on full price!!!!!
I'm glad I did!
Jennifer

Way to go!!
ReplyDeleteI am terrified of snakes. Would never own a snake print anything, but recently I fell in love with one of Dooney $ Bourke's snake print bags. Way too pricey at $350.00, but this would be a great substitute. May have to drop by Kohl's and check to see if they have any hidden in the back!
