Back to School with Wal-Mart and Duck Tape

Back to school time is fun time of the year for both parents and students. A new school year symbolizes a fresh start, and you can't get a fresh start if you are not organized. Duck Tape® and Wal-Mart make getting organized easy and fun by offering so many creative ways for students and parents to personalize their back to school gear. I decided to use Duck Tape® to spice up my boring run of the mill manila folders. Many parents use these folders to organize their kid's grade cards, home work, special projects, and receipts, and with a little Duck Tape® embellishment you can use one print for your daughter's items, and use another print for your son's items. The different prints help you keep things organized and lets you easily identify the folder you are looking for.

I (LOVE) animal print so I took a little animal print Duck Tape® and added a simple band of around the face of the folder and labeled it with my subject.

Then I decided to use a tin can to create a fun and inexpensive pen/pencil holder. I painted it red and added brown animal print Duck Tape® around the middle for some pizzazz. So cute!

And for times when the kids are not at their desks they can tote their pens, pencils, and markers along in their pencil case personalized with Duck Tape® flair.

Again, going with the animal print motif I used two different styles of Duck Tape® to personalize each girl's pencil case.

It is so easy to personalize your school supplies by simply cutting the tape to fit your item. You can cut it into any shape or length you desire, and the fact that it comes in these nifty little sheets helps for when you want to make something on a larger scale.

As you can see Wal-Mart is the perfect place to find Duck Tape® as they have a huge variety and offer not only the rolls of tape but the sheets as well. They even have unique designs like this one with pickles!
