Fall Mantel

I can't believe it is already October!

The Fall season is upon us and that means its time to enjoy all the beautiful colors mother nature provides us with the changing of the leaves.

Time to bring all those rich colors of red, orange and yellow inside to create a warm and inviting space that will carry us into Thanksgiving.

This year for my Fall mantel I used a lot of brown and orange. I like to add colors that contrast against the white wood work of my mantel, and the brown and black really pop!

As you step inside my front room you are greeted by a pumpkin sitting atop an old shabby white stool.

Then on top of the mantel I warmed up the space with this tall brown basket and black lantern I got back in June at the Nell Hills annual sale.

I filled it with some grapevine balls and used some brown and white ticking stripe ribbon to make a bow.

To keep with the use of browns and neutrals I added a bunch of brown eucalyptus to the basket. The tall stems not only add texture but they add height to the space as well.

The centerpiece this year is a metal candle tray filled with orange pillar candles and greenery.

I have had this candle tray for years ever since I was a homestyle specialist with AtHome America.

This little bunch of foliage is a fake piece that I have had FOREVER.

It is Home Interior and it is by far my favorite fall floral that I have.

It is bendable and the leaves look realistic. I wish I had purchased two or three of these babies back when I bought this one!

Then I used what mother nature provided me and clipped some dried hydrangea flowers from my new hydrangea I planted this year, as well as a few leaf sprigs from outside too as fillers for my candle tray.

I added a clock and pumpkin to finish the space.

The brown and white in the pillow coordinate perfectly with the brown in the mantel and the little splash of animal print is just enough for the space.

Have a wonderful week!
